Release Managment Lead

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Apply systems analysis and testing techniques and procedures to ensure software or system functional specifications are correctly identified.
- Create test-related work products (test cases/scripts, test datasets, test validation and verification results etc.) per testing standards and procedures.
- Prepare any required reporting documentation for the respective testing activities.
- Ensure adherence to performance standards and best practices during testing

Project Specific Responsibilities: - Own / Maintain the release planning process and release methodology - Manage the “path to production” through scheduled deployments from each environment - Manage the backlog of use cases through estimation and placement to a given release - Coordinate each release schedule and resources required depending upon scheduled scope - Identify the risks that can delay the release and manage them, such that the scope scheduled, and quality of the release is not affected - Track the progress and find issues, if any. Always work to improve the process of release - Make sure that the release is planned, according to the requirements and budget - Schedule the release readiness reviews before deployment and milestone reviews after each release - Lead the Go-Live activities to deploy the software successfully - Make improvements in the methodologies used for configuration management and development of software that helps to find ways to use in configuration management. - Communicate the release related tasks such as plans, timelines, requirements, etc. between different teams
- Plan and give weekly updates on the release activities - Speak at CAB meetings to discuss the release schedules with the team and find roadblocks, if any - Manage and communicate changes due to release scope business changes in priority - Setup JIRA Release Management Plans in JIRA and communicate to key internal and external stakeholders - Identify and approach problem and draw valid solutions to mitigate
Minimum Requirements

- Bachelor's Degree in related field.

- 5-7 years of relevant professional experience required.

- Equivalent combination of education and experience considered in lieu of degree.
