Job Description:
Install, commission, test, and maintain protective relays, powerline carrier equipment, digital fault recorders (DFRs), remote terminal units (RTUs), and communication processors. Perform functional testing on protection and control circuitry for transmission lines, transformers, circuit breakers, feeders, and other equipment. Involve RTU and telecom upgrades for various clients. Company vehicle and overtime provided.
Responsibilities:
Install, test, and maintain protective relays, powerline carrier equipment, DFRs, RTUs, and communication processors.Perform functional testing for protection and control circuits for transmission lines, transformers, circuit breakers, and other equipment.Conduct RTU and telecom upgrades.Work with SEL microprocessor relays (311C, 311L, 421, 487B, 587, 787, etc.) and GE microprocessor relays (C30, D60, F35, etc.).Work with RTUs and communication processors such as GE, Telvent, SEL, and Novatech.Review and submit test reports for client and regulatory purposes.Interpret electrical diagrams (one-line, three-line, schematic).Essential Skills:
Minimum 3 years of experience with relay testing, installation, and maintenance.Experience with powerline carrier equipment (circuit breakers, transformers, reactors).Familiarity with SEL and GE microprocessor relays.Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and identify discrepancies.Additional Skills:
Experience with GE, Telvent, SEL, and Novatech RTUs and communication processors.Strong documentation skills for client reporting and regulatory compliance.
