Role/Responsibilities:

The Relationship Manager is responsible for developing and maintaining key client relationships. This position will manage a defined book of business and will have the opportunity to up and cross-sell Moody’s products as well as introduce new and expanded solutions. In collaboration with internal partners such as Industry Practice Leads and Product, the Relationship Manager leads sales cycles for holistic solutions and complimentary services for strategic clients. Responsibilities

Manage full lifecycle sales process which includes, identifying and initiating new sales opportunities by prospecting new clients and leveraging off existing client relationships, sales presentations and contract negotiations.Illustrate a deep understanding of client decision-making approach, priorities and requirements.Manage relationships with existing clients within the Insurance customer segment.Act as the point of contact for c-suite and executive sponsors at the client company.Ensure complete client coverage by calling upon domain specialists and other client-facing professionals where appropriate.Provide current forecasts and pipeline information to management.Meet established revenue targets, while creating new and enhanced customer relationships ensuring satisfaction.Generate new revenue from research, product and service solutions and defending & growing existing revenue streams.Work closely with Domain Specialists, Industry Practice Leads, Product Strategists and other employees within the organization to leverage their appropriate expertise to the sales cycle.Represent the company at industry and company-sponsored events, as required.Position requires travel 30-40%, when safe.

Qualifications:

Bachelors’ degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related area required, MBA preferred.3 - 7+ years experience in a sales role within in a software/services organization with a successful track record in sales, preferably selling solutions to the global marketplace.Experience with a customer segment such as Banking, Fin-tech or Asset Management, Insurance industry preferred.Ability to sell on a needs/solutions approach.Ability to influence key decision-makers during the full life cycle of the sales process.Strong presentation and negotiation skills as well as outstanding client relationship management experience.Strong communication skills, both oral and written.Creative problem-solving skills and ability to diagnose issues and develop solutions.Ability to multi-task and meet short deadlines.Drive to exceed goals and motivated by achieving measurable results.Positive, energetic, and relentless attitude for success.Ability to work both independently and within a team environment, with focus and high attention to detail

For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $118,300- $171,700, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation. Moody’s also offers a competitive benefits package, including not but limited to medical, dental, vision, parental leave, paid time off, a 401(k) plan with employee and company contribution opportunities, life, disability, and accident insurance, a discounted employee stock purchase plan, and tuition reimbursement.
