The Relationship Banker II performs key retail functions within a bank branch. They effectively handle all duties of a teller, personal banker, as well as additional responsibilities to serve their customers and prospects. The ideal candidate is knowledgeable of bank products and other lines of business, and will take action to grow the customer base and products per household. The Universal Banker will also assist branch management with basic functions including cross training other branch staff members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Demonstrate knowledge of all retail bank products and services as well as a basic understanding of specialty product lines. Assist with coaching and training new associates on products and services.Complete all functions related to opening and closing accounts, assisting customers with the appropriate selection of accounts, ability to perform research for customer accounts and comply with BSA and CIP requirements. Assist in training and coaching personal bankers and have authority to make decisions on accounts that are policy exceptions. Take responsibility for branch and individual goals and engage with customers in order to present products and solutions to meet their needs. Cross sell bank products to customers and prospects regularly via in person interactions, phone calls, community involvement, etc. Work with teller line and/or Personal Banker staff to assist them in achievement of branch goals. Assist customers with choosing the appropriate consumer loan product, take applications, communicate decision to customer, and subsequently close and fund consumer loans. Maintain knowledge of consumer loan policies and procedures and assist with branch’s consumer loan portfolio.Complete knowledge of all aspects of the teller line including processing transactions, balancing cash drawer and vault, as well as other basic branch operations functions. Ensure that all departmental documents and activities are performed in compliance with applicable laws, regulations, policies and procedures as applicable to this position, including completion of required compliance training.Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.Qualifications
