Rehabilitation Technician PRN
*Description* Summary: Assists licensed therapists in the treatment of patients (PT, OT & ST) and ensures the proper cleaning, maintenance and orderliness of therapy materials/equipment and the environment. Performs other responsibilities as requested. Responsibilities: 1. Departmental Support/Administrative Duties - A. Performs rehab tech duties for assignedareas in a timely and thorough basis according to the department guidelines. Maintains therapy equipment, stocking and inventory of supplies, record-keeping and other various related duties. B. Performs administrative duties as required by assigned areas (i.e. print shop requests, stocking of forms, etc.). C. Anticipates department needs and initiates solutions with supervisor. D. Provides coverage for weekends and holidays on a rotating basis as needed. 2. Patient Treatment - A. Provides assistance to therapists, exercise physiologist, athletic trainer and other health care professional as appropriate and as instructed. B. Successfully demonstrates skill testing specific to rehab technicians (fill in details for 2001). C. Assists with group therapy as assigned and transportation of patients to and from treatment areas. D. Provides patient treatment according to the established plan of treatment as determined by the PT/ATC. 3. NHRC Core Values - A. PCT or CNA preferred.
