Rehabilitation Technician / Patient Access Specialist - CMC Boulder Community Health, Lafayette, CO 80026 $19.00 - $26.38 an hour - Full-Time Days, 40 hours per week
Boulder Community Health is seeking a Rehabilitation Technician / Patient Access Specialist who is responsible for performing designated routine tasks and special projects related to the smooth provision of outpatient therapeutic services in a clinic with physical therapy.

Qualifications •High school graduate preferred •BLS certification preferred •Clinical experience as a rehabilitation technician, physical therapy aide, or rehabilitation department volunteer preferred •Reception experience preferred, preferably medical with scheduling experience •Variety of customer service experience preferred Responsibilities •Assists with groups and patient care, as trained and directed by supervising therapist, serving primarily patient populations from adolescent to older adult (e.g., balance activities, exercises, lymphedema pump set up, lymphedema bandaging, transcription of speech recordings for patients with dysarthria, word count and sentence duration calculations, and placement of VitalStim electrodes) •Orders equipment and supplies as needed, maintaining appropriate inventory; maintains purchasing logs to accurately track items ordered and items received; regularly interacts with Purchasing to assure appropriate items are ordered and to address any purchasing delays •Orders linens •Patient check-in: In a courteous manner, greets and screens patients, families, and visitors upon arrival; verifies insurance; collects required signatures, ID, and insurance card; accepts co-payments, insufficient notice fees, self-pay fees, and outstanding balances as appropriate; provides a receipt when requested; notifies therapists of patient’s arrival •Assists patients who have questions about their accounts and directs patients to appropriate financial resources (Patient Financial Services, Insurance Verification Specialists) to resolve any remaining questions and concerns •Schedules patient therapy appointments, monitors therapist schedules for gaps, and monitors and works waitlist •Assists with assembling intake paperwork for evaluations •Works with Patient Access to register and schedule patients with minimal inconvenience and assists with transcription of orders as needed •Balances and closes Epic cash drawer at the end of day About Boulder Community Health and Boulder, Colorado Boulder Community Health’s vision is partnering to create and care for the healthiest community in the nation.
