Summary
The associate shall be responsible for providing support in patient care and in carrying out therapeutic activities as directed by the therapist in a team environment consistent with professional and ethical standards. The associate shall also demonstrate accountability for and contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion.
Essential Job Functions
Transport patients to activities as needed.Provide patient care support to clinician(s). Report patient response to interventions and condition to clinician(s).Prepare treatment area before and after each patient’s treatment. Clean therapeutic equipment.Answering the phone, DTAR, patient scheduling, quality metric data entry, equipment ordering.Assist with maintaining The Joint Commission Standards as directed by supervisor.Maintains confidentiality in working with all patient accounts, insurance and financial information at all times. Complies with HIPPA guidelines to protect patient data privacy.Quality Management Area: Participate in department quality management activities; Collect quality review data; Participate in survey preparation activities; Participate in department safety committee activities; Contribute to the delivery of cost-effective care.
Professional/Leadership Area: Participate in continuing education/professional development activities; Communicate and demonstrate a professional image/attitude for patients, families, coworkers and others; Adhere to policies and practices of applicable professional organizations and Bon Secours Mercy Health; Contribute to provider relationships and marketing activities.
Team Area: Participate in team meetings; Contribute to development of improved efficiency and productivity of program clinical/administrative functions; Participates as a team member by performing additional assignments not directly related to the job description when workload requires and as requested by supervisor.

Employment Qualifications
Required Minimum Education:
High School Diploma or GED
Preferred Education:
4 year/ Bachelors Degree
Specialty/Major:
Exercise Physiology or Kinesiology
Other Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:
Experience in working in a health care setting is desirable.
