As Regulatory Compliance Administrator, you will be a Walt Disney World Cast Member in the Reedy Creek Energy Services (RCES) organization. RCES Cast Members work on behalf of the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District (CFTOD)designing, operating, and maintaining utility and select municipal systems across the Walt Disney World Resort. This Regulatory Compliance Administrator will be responsible for administrative monitoring and oversight of the environmental and electric reliability regulatory compliance at RCES. This role requires experience in regulatory framework and compliance requirements affecting multiple utilities and will operate with functional authority to direct actions of operations Cast Members (front line Cast Members, engineers, and senior management) on compliance issues.
You will report to the Manager-Gas & Water & Waste Resources & Environmental Compliance.
Responsibilities/You WillYou will work first shift, but may be asked to work off-hours, holidays, and weekends to support the needs of the operation.
Assists the Regulatory Compliance Manager, Director - RCES, and Government Relations in communicating environmental and electric reliability related issues to management, legal counsel, and external agencies, as appropriate.
Conduct internal audits and site visits to verify adherence to compliance requirements and best management practices.
Provide training to RCES Cast Members on Federal, State, and local regulatory requirements of the various utility systems.
Support permitting needs of all utility systems.
Prepare and submit compliance data associated with emissions reporting for air, water, wastewater and solid waste.
Support preparation for agency inspections by compiling data of necessary compliance records.
Involved in environmental compliance testing of air emissions units, coordination and participation in environmental agency and electric reliability internal audits.
Assist in functional projects related to compliance activities.
Ability to communicate complex regulatory requirements and negotiate with others to ensure continuous compliance with all applicable regulations.
Basic Qualifications/You Will HaveMinimum of 3+ years of corporate environmental compliance management programs, field testing and reporting.
Experience in communication and negotiation with regulatory agencies.
Familiarity with State of Florida and Federal rules and regulations as they relate utilities.
Have a valid driver's license.
Must be available to work outside normal work hours in response to job demand.
Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing to internal and external stakeholders.
Preferred QualificationsExperience in evaluating regulatory impacts and communicating to senior and executive management.
Operational experience and background utility systems.
Required EducationBachelor of Science degree in Environmental Sciences, Engineering or equivalent experience is required.
Master of Science degree in Environmental Sciences or Engineering is preferred.
