Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Specialist (m/f/x)

The Opportunity:

Under general supervision, execute product compliance strategies, policies and processes to ensure that the company’s products meet regulatory standards and compliance certifications are obtained and maintained. Participate in product design reviews, identifies and interprets applicable regulatory standards and requirements; provide guidance and training to prevent compliance issues from the initial product design throughout production and delivery of the final product. Coordinate both internal testing and testing and maintains all documentation. This is an exciting opportunity to join the Avantor organization as Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Specialist (m/f/x) and play an important role in our Regulatory Affairs & Compliance Team.

This is a full-time opportunity covering maternity leave for approx 2 years.

What we’re looking for: ​

Science degree in Chemicals or equivalent science educationNeed an awareness of regulations regarding Food, cosmetics and PharmaAbility to analyse, interpret regulatory requirements and define necessary solution driven actionsIdeally experience in Product Compliance mattersStrong communication, analytical and planning skillsTeam player in multicultural environmentFluent in English, at least one additional language would also be an advantage

How you will thrive and create an impact:

Identify and follow up on upcoming and updated European and Asian legislation addressing product Safety and market needs affecting chemical products by utilizing tracking tools and networkAnalyse regulatory requirementsCoordinate, review and consolidate the analysis of local regulatory requirements done by local regulatory responsibleDraft and define, in cooperation with stakeholders, instructions withappropriate conformity actions for Business.Give input and work together with Product Management to securecompliant products are placed on the market.Advice Global Data Compliance, local Regulatory Affairs responsible, local sales/ marketing in compliance matters ( e.g requirements for new products, interpretation of regulations and standards, etc.)Act/report proactively when recognizing significant business risk for VWR.Assist local Regulatory Affairs Responsible in contacts with governmental bodies, towards Market Surveillance in case of noncompliance or any enquiry.Maintain close relationship with other business groups ( e.g. Sourcing, Product Management, Sales, QA etc)
