Job Description:

As the first contact at the Practice, the Registration & Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for providing prompt, efficient, customer-focused service to patients and their families as well as colleagues and other individuals that we service in the Community Group Practices 100% of the time. Primary responsibilities include answering the telephone, taking messages or routing calls, scheduling and confirming office visit appointments and ancillary tests using the computer system or by telephone, encountering patients/visitors at the site and generating managed care referrals.

Six months computer experience. One year clerical or clinical experience working in a physician office or health care facility or three years working in a customer service capacity in a non-healthcare environment.

High School diploma or equivalent. Completion of a medical secretarial program or equivalent education and experience.

Excellent communication skills required to interact with patients and visitors.
