General Statement Academic Technology and Outreach (ATO) is an academic unit reporting to MSU’s Office of the Provost. ATO provides support for colleges, faculty, staff, and students wherever they are located—to advance MSU’s capacity and reputation to build, deliver, and support academic excellence in teaching and learning with a focus on quality, access, and innovation. ATO builds and maintains our classroom and eLearning ecosystem and supports our land-grant mission through unique and innovative opportunities for outreach and engagement. ATO is comprised of three divisions: Teaching and Learning with Technology, eLearning and Innovation, and Continuing, Professional and Lifelong Learning. Duties and Responsibilities Manage the ATO registration process from start to finish. Including: ensure the accuracy of ATO’s revenue and registration data, entering daily registration payments, and assisting with monthly revenue reconciliations. Serve as the single point of contact for the SIS system registration, setting up the data structure for new courses, running queries, generating reports, and ensuring data security and FERPA compliance. Serve as the primary liaison on registration issues with student service units including Admissions, Financial Aid, and Registrar. Provide support for students with questions on registration, transcripts, financial aid, and student accounts. Provide coordination support for non-credit program delivery, working closely with program mangers on implementation. Required Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Demonstrated general office experience including transaction processing, accuracy with numerical data and data entry, and providing excellent customer service. Demonstrated experience using personal computers and word processing, spreadsheet, database, and email software. Demonstrated competence organizing and prioritizing multiple work assignments, meeting deadlines, and exercising adaptability to changing priorities while maintaining a positive, effective, and professional attitude Preferred Qualifications – Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills Excellent communication skills, both written and oral Ability to handle sensitive information appropriately Ability to consistently exercise initiative and good judgment Experience with data entry and report generation from a relational database (e.g., Banner) Ability to work with a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail while meeting deadlines Experience planning and implementing educational courses, camps, seminars, and events.
