Job Description

We are seeking a Registration Medical Assistant for the Emergency Room. The primary responsibilities include patient check-in and taking vitals upon arrival. The Medical Assistant will also notify the nursing staff if immediate care is needed for patients in distress.

ResponsibilitiesServe as the first point of contact for patients arriving at the emergency department.Collect the patient's name and reason for their visit.Enter patient data to ensure visibility on the tracking board.Notify the RN for immediate triage if necessary.Promptly update the ED tracking board to maintain communication with staff.Document and maintain patient records, including vital signs, weights, heights, and other measurements.Assist in maintaining a safe environment by checking equipment daily and reporting any malfunctions.Respond to patient requests and keep them informed about their care progress.Report any observed changes in patient condition to the nurse or provider.Assist in triage by taking vital signs.Help maintain a clean and orderly patient and work environment.Adhere to policies, procedures, and safety standards while working towards goals and objectives.Participate in quality improvement initiatives as requested.Perform other duties as assigned.Essential SkillsAbility to take blood pressure.Conduct phlebotomy as needed.Proficiency with electronic medical records.Strong customer service skills.Work EnvironmentHospital setting / Emergency DepartmentShift / 2 Available Thursday-Saturday / 7:00pm-7:00amWednesday-Saturday / 11:00am-9:00pmPay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $22.00/hr.
