The shift for this position will be\:
Week 1\: M, Tu, F, Sa - 12\:00PM to 10\:00PM
Week 2\: Su, W, Th - 12\:00PM to 10\:00PM
Job Summary
Registration Integrity Specialists are critical to patients of Watertown Regional Medical Center as they ensure the patient’s safety both physically and financially.The Registration Integrity Specialist is responsible for providing a variety of order entry, Pre-registration, registration, cost estimates, and basic financial counseling to our patientsThey will do this while working with patients and clinics directly over the phone in real timeRegistration Integrity Specialists will pre-register accounts by verifying all demographic and insurance informationThis position will also enter orders as needed and identify errors in order entry to ensure patient safetyThey will then proceed to prepare demographic and consent forms for front end staff. When applicable, estimate will also be added to the prepared paperwork. If Estimate was missed, this person will also create the estimate.Registration Integrity Specialists will backup registration areas as neededThey will work closely with other departments from the revenue cycle including Patient Accounting, Prior Authorization, and Registration to ensure patient experience is flawless from start to finishKnowledge of Change Health’s Clearance products is critical in this positionWatertown Regional Medical Center is NOW HIRING a Registration Integrity Specialist to work in our Emergency Department

Minimum - High school diploma or equivalent required3 years previous customer service and/or Revenue Cycle experience (Registration; Scheduling, patient accounting, etc.) RequiredCritical thinking abilityKnowledge of Registration and admissions policies & proceduresExperience with RapidFiler and Order entry desktopKnowledge of diagnostic procedures and testsData entry and keyboarding skillsBasic medical terminologyScheduling and planning procedure skillsKnowledge of switchboard system and proceduresKnowledge of Change Healthcare Software products (AHIQA, Verifier, Estimator,Webpay, etc)Ability to read and understand explanation of benefits from insurance companies and communicate information to patientsKnowledge of hospital billing concepts and principlesQualifications\:
