Job Description
SUMMARY:
Reporting to the Associate Registrar, the Registrar Specialist actively contributes to the daily operations of the Registrar Office. The Registrar Specialist is pivotal in maintaining accurate and timely records, providing crucial administrative support for student data input and analysis, reviewing processes, and generating reports.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Support room scheduling for academic courses, ensure classroom assignments meet instructional needs, optimize space utilization, and are communicated effectively to students and faculty.
Collaborate with departments to audit and resolve room scheduling conflicts, adjust as needed to maintain a seamless academic schedule.
Review academic records for incoming and current students to ensure accurate reflection of academic progress and adherence to university policies.
Conduct research and collaborate with appropriate departments to confirm course equivalencies and maintain academic consistency in recordkeeping.
Ensure that academic information is recorded accurately and promptly in the Student Information System to support effective academic advising and progress towards graduation.
Maintain and update student academic records, including registration, enrollment status, and academic progress milestones.
Evaluate student records and petitions to confirm eligibility for graduation and communicate decisions as appropriate.
Address and resolve enrollment issues, data discrepancies, and other record-related inquiries in compliance with institutional and federal guidelines.
Coordinate with the Catalog Coordinator and Registrar’s Office team to implement curriculum changes and catalog updates accurately within the schedule of classes.
Performs other related duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:
REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Minimum one year of professional experience in an institution of higher education, education, or a related enrollment management field.
Experience using a student information system.
PREFERRED:
Experience using Ellucian Banner, Slate (CRM), and Workday.
