Job DescriptionWe are looking for a Registrar to join our team to assist with Hayward and South San Francisco campuses.
Provide leadership to plan, organize and manage all of the activities related to the Records and Registration Department, including serving as the official authorized keeper of the college's student records.
Hire, supervise and evaluate the Records and Registration staffResponsible for collecting, recording, maintaining and reporting of student records within FERPA guidelines, e.g., grades, registration data, transcripts, mid-term verification, FSA audits and other associated auditsProvide leadership and develop appropriate recommendations for the implementation of related technology application in support of enhanced services offered through Registration and RecordsDevelop and administer the departmental budgetProblem solve the research, analysis and resolution of student disputes as they relate to records and registrationCollaborate with administrators, CD’s, faculty, IT and counselors to facilitate and improve services to students, including catalog and registration/records policy questionsServe as ex-officio member of Curriculum CommitteeCommunicate important and necessary information by written and or verbal means to and from students, faculty and other Unitek staff as assignedCreate and maintain program terms and calendars in Campus VueProcess and review new student enrollment agreementsEnsure new student enrollments have met admissions requirementsPerform other administrative duties as necessary related to the Registrar DepartmentQualificationsMinimum of 2-3 years’ experience in educational administration or in related fieldCollege degree preferredA positive attitude and ability to plan and adapt to changeAbility to collaborate effectively with college departments and cross-functional teamsCompetence in basic Windows operation system commands, practices, and proceduresKnowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, preferably, experience with contact databases, i.e., MSCRM preferredAbility to type at least 55 WPMEffective written and oral communication skills with individuals of diverse socio-economic and multi-cultural backgroundsAbility to work independently, without constant supervision Must possess superb people and presentation skillsMust have the ability to adapt quickly, be an effective team player, and have excellent multi-tasking skillsExcellent attention to detail
Compensation is $24-$25/hour Depending on Experience
