Work location: 1005 West Ralph Hall Parkway, Rockwall, TX 75032

Work hours: Full Time Days (Monday through Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm) for 40 hrs/week.

Travel:  50% to surrounding clinics as needed (mileage reimbursement provided)

Here’s What You Need

·       Associates Degree Related field (preferred)

·       Graduate of accredited ultrasound technology program (preferred)

·       1 Year Related experience in a Vascular Laboratory (required) and

·       RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist Upon Hire (required) or

·       RVS - Registered Vascular Sonographer Upon Hire (required)

·       Minimum 2 years’ experience with abi's, cerebral, abdominal, upper/lower peripheral venous and arterial imaging (strongly preferred)

·       Experience with US guided RFA's (preferred).

·       BLS certification (strongly preferred)

·       Reliable transportation required

·       Possess an excellent working knowledge of cardiac and pulmonary anatomy/pathology, the cardiac patient, and treatment of cardiac diseases

·       Have working knowledge of vascular arterial and venous anatomy for carotid and peripheral vasculature

·       Have excellent communication skills

·       Have good computer skills

·       Possess a strong work ethic and a high level of professionalism

 

What You Will Do

Deliver care to patients utilizing the Registered Vascular Technician Process to include:

·       Perform diagnostic carotid arterials and venous studies of upper and lower extremities and venous studies of patients with suspected peripheral vascular disease by following ICAVL guidelines.

·       Prepare and maintains operations logs and calibrates and maintains equipment , and order supplies when necessary

·       Explain procedures to patient to obtain cooperation and reduce anxieties of patient. Communicates with physicians, managers, and co-workers as appropriate about changes in patient’s clinical conditions while undergoing vascular procedure.

·       Perform other duties as assigned.

·       Conduct vascular laboratory studies in accordance with the vascular laboratory protocols. Ensures that all vascular laboratory studies are scheduled in an appropriate manner to satisfy the clinical situation. Maintains the vascular laboratory quality assurance database.

·       Review test results with interpreting physician.
