Physician Affiliate Group of New York (PAGNY) has an opportunity for a Registered Ultrasound Technician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan. The Hospital is part of the NYC Health + Hospitals System (NYCHHC). Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced Registered Ultrasound Technician at NYC Health + Hospitals/Metropolitan.

 

Use sonographic equipment to identify and observe the area(s) of concernPrepare the exam room for examinations and assist Radiologists with vascular ultrasound procedures and ultrasound-guided biopsiesReport to the appropriate medical staff of any abnormalities that require immediate attentionMaintain sonography equipment and report machinery failureConduct scan tests and write reports based on the resultsManage several patients and priorities and be able to adapt to a fast-paced work environmentWork under minimal supervision and cooperate with other team members Qualifications

Current ARDMS registration in Sonography

Completion of AMA approved school of Diagnostic Medical Sonography 

Proficiency in all areas of Ultrasound

Two years’ experience in diagnostic medical sonography within hospital setting preferred 

This is an 1199 union position. Benefits will come from 1199.Salary range: $72,522.20 - $79,439.44
