Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse (RN) Location: Tyler, TX Schedule: Overnight Shifts (7:00 PM - 7:00 AM) Openings: 11 positions available Job Description: UT Health North (UT Tyler) is seeking compassionate and skilled ICU Registered Nurses (RNs) to join our dedicated team in Tyler, TX. In this critical role, you will provide life-saving care to critically ill patients in our Intensive Care Unit (ICU). You’ll collaborate with an expert medical team, utilizing advanced medical equipment to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Key Responsibilities: + Monitor and assess critically ill patients, addressing changes in their condition promptly. + Administer medications, treatments, and therapies according to care plans. + Operate and maintain advanced medical equipment, such as ventilators and cardiac monitors. + Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement comprehensive critical care strategies. + Provide emotional support and educational guidance to patients and their families. + Maintain accurate and thorough patient records, ensuring compliance with safety and infection control protocols. + Respond swiftly to medical emergencies and deliver life-saving critical care interventions. Qualifications: + Active RN license to practice in Texas. + Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred. + At least one (1) year of RN experience in a clinical environment; ICU or critical care experience highly desirable. + Required certifications: BLS (Basic Life Support) and ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). + Preferred qualifications: + Five (5) years of RN experience. + At least two (2) years of experience as a charge nurse or supervisor. + Specialty certifications, such as Ambulatory Care Nurse, preferred at hire or within 12 months of eligibility.
