Registered Nurse (RN) Supervisor

STARTING RATE: $36.00 (paying $36.00 - $38.00 per hour, depending on experience)

SIGN-ON BONUS: up to $7,500

SHIFT: Full-Time/Part-time, Evening/Nights, 12hr Shifts available (7:00pm-7:00am) $36.00-$38.00
Shift: Weekend Warrior: (Saturday, Sunday 12 hour shifts, you get paid for 37.5) $36.00-$41.80
Shift: 3p-11p FT or PT $38.00 & a $3.00 shift differential
No Frills rate-$41.80

JOB DESCRIPTION:

Under the direction of the Assistant Director of Nursing, the Shift Supervisor/Relief Supervisor is responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the physical, psychosocial, and rehabilitation needs of the residents. Must have thorough knowledge of all residents and is required to work throughout the facility to perform tasks utilizing knowledge and skills.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Work closely with RNs to ensure best possible functions of assigned unit and supervise unit employees Assists Director of Nursing in directing, coordinating and supervising the Nursing Services Department. Scheduling and assigning nursing staff as needed for department Responsible for maintaining the standards of nursing care and practices within the facility to meet the needs of our residents and their families Support nursing staff job results by coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees Ensure all policies and procedures are being followed at all times while also making suggestions for improvements Provides information to Residents and health care team. Maintains documentation of Resident care services. Performs other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting.

REQUIREMENTS:

Degree from an accredited school of nursing Current and valid license as a Registered Nurse in the state of New York required Minimum of 1-year RN experience required Must have strong assessment skills as well as interpersonal skills Education or experience in long term care or geriatric nursing is preferred Must be flexible, punctual, professional, and reliable Strong customer service skills and compassion Basic computer knowledge, PCC e-MAR experience preferred Physical endurance for frequent activity; ability to lift a minimum of 20 pounds
