**Position Purpose**
**The Stroke Coordinator** assists with providing leadership, program management, operational direction, and strategic initiatives associated with the Stroke Program. Oversees all regulatory activity related to the Department of Public Health certification as a Disease-specific Care program in collaboration with the Quality and Regulatory department and ensures compliance with standards.
**What you will do**
+ Ensure protocols are up to date, revising forms as appropriate.
+ Assist with the ongoing collection and submission of QI data (outcomes, monthly stroke statistics, door-to-needle data)
+ Ensure compliance with regulatory mandates for clinical services
+ Identify and analyze data and trends in patient experience, quality outcomes, and practice excellence and guide program changes accordingly
+ Collaborate with appropriate departments and individuals to develop action plans to address any deficiencies in quality of care
+ Ensure that all Stroke patient data is entered into the Outcomes Registry in a timely manner
+ Assist clinical leadership with the Stroke quality improvement process, including leading multidisciplinary teams for process improvement
**Minimum Qualifications**
+ Current MA RN Licensure required
+ Bachelor’s Degree preferred. Master of Science Degree in Nursing preferred.
+ Certification in appropriate clinical specialty preferred. BLS certification is required; ACLS is preferred.
+ Prior experience with oversight of a clinical program preferred, providing health education and caring for neurology/stroke patients. Background in neuroscience/stroke care and rehabilitation.
+ Analytical skills to evaluate patient-specific care needs, gather relevant clinical data, and provide education/teaching to patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
