This is a highly collaborative and engaged work environment with great leadership. We are seeking an experienced ICU Registered Nurse (PRN) for the Medical Surgical Intensive Care Unit at Inova Alexandria Hospital. This is a day shift position – 3 x 12-hour shifts 7am-7pm.

The MSICU is a 20-bed unit, 2:1 ratio. Patient population includes cardiopulmonary failure, adult respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS), sepsis, multi-organ dysfunction, Pulmonary hypertension, Pulmonary thrombosis, Shock syndrome(s), renal failure. advanced medical conditions & co-morbidities, post-op complicated surgical cases.

Requirements:

Minimum of 1 year ICU RN experience. Prefer 2 years+ for PRN Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 5 years of start date. BLS for Healthcare Provider Certification required. ACLS preferred prior to start date  RN licensed, or eligible to practice in the Commonwealth of Virginia as a RN. Proficient in English, strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor towards others. Proficient computer skills required.
