This position has a 40% premium pay on the base wage. Overview Expected pay for this position is $37.93 - $44.63/hour. Actual pay will be determined by experience, skills and internal equity. POSITION SUMMARY: Provides quality patient care to critically ill patients, through the nursing process of Assessment, Planning, Intervention, and Evaluation. Always serves as a patient advocate. Supervises the nursing care provided to each patient by other caregivers. Develops the plan for nursing care as a result of coordination with the patient, family and staff of other disciplines as necessary. Applies critical thinking to promote positive clinical outcomes. Ensures patient education. Participates in discharge planning. Always maintains professional disposition. This position requires working 11 out of 12 weekends. Qualifications REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: Associate’s degree in nursing Experience: Current Registered Nurse licensure by the State board of Nursing in appropriate state (Illinois or Michigan). At least 1-year experience as an RN in an acute critical care setting. Licensure/ Certification: IL Reg Nurse License or MI Reg Nurse License BLS ACLS Other Skills/ Knowledge: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to be detail oriented.
