at every level within the organizationJob Summary Our Nurses work in collaborative environments with strong interdisciplinary teams focused on a patient centered care model in a richly diverse work space Under the direction and general supervision of the Nurse Manager the registered nurse utilizes evidence based practices in accordance with the State Nurse Practice Act policies and procedures of the hospital and as directed by the medical staff The registered nurse who through knowledge and ability uses the nursing process to develop a plan of care which includes standards of practice to meet RN CT License ASN required BSN Preferredbull Certification as a CRNI or VA BC preferred If hired without applicant will be required to obtain certification within three years of start date bull PICCMidline insertion experienced preferred bull We strive for above first stick success rates and placing an IV that will last till the end of patientrsquos therapy Understanding the anatomy and physiology of the venous system is a basic requirement bull Prior IV insertion skills are a plus but not required Applicant must be able to demonstrate use of ultrasound to guide IV placement within a month of being hired bull Applicant must demonstrate meticulous infection control practices bull Must be able to practice independently bull Some understanding of INS Standards of Practice and on measures to reduce and prevent CLABSIrsquos is a plus bull Willingness to teach coach mentor best practice with all members of the healthcare team bull Demonstrate excellent bedside mannerism We take
