Unit Description

Our Cardiac Cath Lab is the heart of minimally invasive interventional cardiology. Here, you will be involved in:

Diagnostic Testing: Identify heart conditions like blockages. Interventional Procedures: Atherectomy Coronary angioplasty Chronic total occlusion (CTO) treatment Impella intra-aorta balloon pump therapy Intravascular imaging Nitric oxide studies Stent placement

With cases ranging from 6 to 36 a day and an average of 11, you will receive extensive training to excel in this exciting and challenging role. If you thrive in a team-oriented environment and have strong communication skills, this is the perfect opportunity for you.

Holding Room (Pre/Post Op for CCL) Highlights

No Weekends or Nights: Enjoy a balanced schedule with no weekend or night shifts. Minimal Holiday Commitment: Just one holiday shift during the day per year. Track Schedule: Consistent and predictable scheduling. Late Stay Rotation: Late stays on a rotating basis as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Education: Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. Licensure: Current RN licensure in South Carolina. Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/ENPC. Experience: Minimum of 2 years of RN experience.

Preferred Requirements

Education: BSN preferred. Experience: Experience in Cath lab, cardiac, telemetry, critical care, OR, interventional radiology, ER, or med/surg is a plus.

Support: Seek assistance to ensure positive patient outcomes. Engagement: Participate in hourly rounding and bedside shift reports. Competence: Demonstrate and maintain competency with new equipment and procedures. Guidance: Provide clinical guidance to students and ancillary staff. Orientation: Successfully complete hospital and unit-based orientation programs. Professional Growth: Develop and follow a plan for professional growth. Compliance: Adhere to all clinical and regulatory standards. Documentation: Accurately document all aspects of patient care. Leadership: Serve on unit-based committees and contribute to policy development. Prioritization: Prioritize nursing interventions for assigned patients. Assessment: Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop care plans. Quality Care: Ensure continuity of care and effective decision-making for quality outcomes. Other Duties: Perform additional duties as assigned.
