Registered Nurse (RN) Behavioral Health Rounder Days

behavioral health team as a rounder RN. This is a full-time position with a 3 x 12-hour shift schedule (7:00 am to 7:30 pm). Previous psychiatric experience in an inpatient setting is a requirement.

The Behavioral Health Registered Nurse Rounder consistently provides safe and therapeutic care in a holistic and systematic way. Responds to safe team calls promptly while assessing patients' conditions as observed/reported by nurses. Implements measures for immediate stabilization when necessary. During rounds, identifies patients at risk of barriers to optimal medical care and incorporates behavioral, environmental, interpersonal, or pharmacologic interventions to optimize patient’s care. Promotes an increased level of psychological and physical safety for team members by effectively debriefing safety events. Reports to Clinical Director. 

Duties:

Performs comprehensive patient health assessments by interpreting multiple data sets and synthesizing their interrelationships Formulates individualized plans of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice Conducts all patient care in a patient and family centered manner, integrating knowledge, skills and experiences to meet the needs of patients and families throughout the continuum of care Advocates for patients' rights from the patient and family perspective and provides counsel while acting as a resource to resolve issues Accesses resources from all disciplines to achieve desired patient outcomes and coordinates healthcare and alternate services for patient/family transition planning Documents all patient care activities, as per documentation standards, and assists healthcare team members with documentation

 

Requirements:

Experience Required: 1 year of Registered Nurse clinical experience, including 1 year in a behavioral health setting

Education: BSN from an accredited school of nursing. If RN has an Associates Degree (ADN); must complete BSN within 24 months of start date.

Certification: BLS certification required.

Licensure - Licensed as a Registered Nurse in the state of employment.

Special Skills - Proficient in English. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Exceptional interpersonal skills and the ability to display a caring demeanor toward others. Proficient computer skills required.
