Job: School Nursing

Responsibilities

Provide on-site nursing care to students in elementary or middle school buildingsAdminister medicationsMonitor and manage in-school medical care for students with chronic conditions (ie diabetes, seizures, cerebral palsy) or temporary medical needsTriage, treat, provide interim urgent care to injured or ill students

Requirements

Current unrestricted RN license in Illinois.Recent physical (1 year or less) and negative TB skin test or chest x-rayCurrent CPR certificationMinimum one (1) year of nursing experience preferred.Licensed driver with valid automobile insuranceThis is not a desk job. Successful nurses will be on school premises interacting with students of varying ages. Nurse must be able to stand walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull without restrictions.
