JOB SUMMARY:

Works in collaboration with the interdisciplinary health care team to provide direct patient care to PCHC patients. Accountable for the provision of parenteral and enteral nursing services to clients in the infusion suite as well as in the home (Idaho Falls, Pocatello, surrounding communities). . Must be able to function as a “working nurse” with a focus on providing quality patient care and adhering to the ridged standards of practice for an infusion center.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
 

Practices the nursing process of accessing, diagnosing, outcome identification, planning, implementing, and evaluating. Assesses and plans in collaboration with the patient, significant other, and the interdisciplinary health care team to meet the educational and discharge needs of the patient. Position requires on-call and after hours patient care in the clinic and home care setting. Must demonstrate a willingness to perform all requested job related tasks. Ability to maintain confidentiality of patient records and employee information and use discretion. Is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the IV department on the days scheduled to work. Responsible to ensure all scheduled shifts (including weekend and after hours, and on call )are filled as agreed and based on adequacy and qualifications of staff as related to patient acuity, technological needs and competency and age specific requirements. Manage productivity for their shift. Responsible to ensure patient satisfaction. Create and foster a positive environment. Assume additional duties as assigned by department supervisor. Documentation must meet current standards and policies. Adheres to the dress code; appearance is neat and clean. Wears identification while on duty.
