Registered Nurse - General Surgery/GI

Crouse’s General Surgery/Medicine Unit consists of 40 beds and specializes in vascular, urology, thoracic, colorectal, medicine, and chemical dependency services. The General Surgery/Medicine team is hiring a Registered Nurse to work (3)-12hour shifts. 

Pay Range: $33.00-$47.86/hr based on experience 

Registered Nurse Position Responsibilities:

Responsible for the planning, implementing and evaluation of care for a given population with the established standards and practices of Crouse Health.  The process is enacted through direct clinical practice, management of patient care and general professional duties. 

Registered Nurse Position Requirements:

Graduate of an accredited Nursing Degree program. Currently licensed as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State.  If hired as a Graduate Nurse (GN), a NYS limited licensure work permit must be obtained within (90) days of graduation and the GN must successfully pass the NCLEX exam within 120 days of the beginning of employment to obtain the required professional nursing licensure with New York State.  Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required at time of hire or within two (2) weeks after hire. 

Newly Licensed RNs after 1/1/2017 

Graduate of an accredited Nursing degree.  Must complete Bachelors of Nursing within 8 years from the date of licensure.
