Registered Nurse\n

The Registered Professional Nurse in CARS is responsible for the provision of direct patient care to a designated group of patients, in a fast paced multi-faceted department. These responsibilities will include the observation data collection, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient's physical, psychological, emotional, educational and spiritual needs.\n
\n

Roles and Responsibilities:\n\nHelps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.\nCompletes physical & mental health assessments (VS, risk assessments, withdrawal assessment (COWS) as indicated by Part 820 regulations\nAdministers and monitors treatment regimens \nAdministers prescribed medications\nObserves and reports behavioral changes \nMaintains control of drugs and medications\nTriage emergent client medical issues and coordinate care with the Nursing Staff, PA, NP, Medical Director and outside providers. \nRecords all care information concisely, accurately and completely, in a timely manner, in the appropriate format and on the appropriate forms\nPerforms other position-related duties as assigned, depending on assignment setting \nDirect care provided by licensed practical nurses \nRespects cultural and religious practices of patients\nHelps to maintain 24-hour accountability for quality of care of clients.\nEnsure OASAS\/Medicaid regulatory compliance, Collaborates with Director of Nursing, Direct Care Staff, Counselors, Clinical Directors, other Department Managers and Compliance Manager in Quality Assessment, Assurance, and Performance Improvement Activities\n\n
\n

Required Skills and Experience:\n\nAssociates Degree in Nursing from an Accredited School of Nursing required, Bachelor's degree preferred. \nBLS Certification, \nSuccessful completion of CPI training within 3 months of hire.\nSuccessful completion of medication competency exam. \n\n

Preferred Skills and Experience:\n\nGraduate of an Accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred\n\n

Physical Requirements:\n\nRepetitive use of hands and fingers (e.g., Use of computer keyboard); may require lifting and carrying light loads (up to 40 lbs), including boxes, equipment, IV solutions and stooping and kneeling (e.g., to pick up items from the floor, to remove and replace items on lower shelves and to file documents in lower file drawers); sitting, walking, or standing for long periods of time may be necessary; must be able physically to operate the equipment used for the job.\n\n

Pay Range Disclosure:\n\n$35.63 to $44.18 per hour\n\n
