Registered Nurse (RN) CARES Partial Care Program

30 Hours Weekly (4 days Monday through Thursday OR 6 hours Monday through Friday from 8A-2P)

Population: Children & adolescents

Location: Capital Health at 601 Hamilton Avenue Trenton NJ

$43 per hour PLUS $1,500 sign-on

 

MUST have a BSN.

MUST have an NJ Registered Nurse license.

Experience working with children.

 

Responsibilities An integral member of the health care team, assists in coordinating patient care and communicates and collaborates with the other members of the healthcare team, patients and/or patient’s family/guardian.Shall provide patient and family education relative to nursing/medical and clinical services.The BSN will perform nursing histories and physical assessments.Participates in daily treatment team meeting, and attends other program meetings.Demonstrates standard precautions and patient safety principles in practice.Facilitate patients and families in meeting their psychosocial needs.Assist with pre-authorization of medications for the program.Certified in the Handle With Care behavior management system.Maintains and demonstrates high standards of professional ethics.Subject to the bylaws and operating decisions of Virtua Health. Qualifications A current CPR/BLS card with demonstrated and cognitive skills is required.The BSN shall be a registered nurse licensed in the State of New Jersey.Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.Certified by the American Nursing Credentialing Center.Two years experience working with children.Shall be involved in continuing education activities to further his/her own professional development.
