As a Registered Nurse (RN) in the Pre- and Post-Operative Care Unit (PACU), you will be responsible for providing direct nursing care, monitoring patients’ health, assessing patients’ pre-operative status, administering medication, and maintaining up-to-date patient records. You will be caring for pre- and post-operative patients undergoing surgical cases including, but not limited to, general, thoracic, robotics, and cardiovascular surgeries. On this nursing team, you will feel supported and appreciated for the knowledge you have to share and have access to our advanced technology and research to ensure all patients receive world-class care.
The hours of this per diem position are primarily 12-hour day shifts, 6am - 6:30pm, with overnight and weekend call requirements. A minimum of 48 hours per six-week schedule is required. One shift per week is preferred.
REQUIRED qualifications for the future caregiver include:
A minimum of one year of recent RN experience in a PACU or critical care department in an acute care hospital.Graduate from an accredited school of professional nursing. Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN). Proof of Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) through American Heart Association (AHA) must be presented upon hire.Our caregivers continue to create the best outcomes for our patients across each of our facilities. Physical Requirements:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patient, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination.Requires standing and walking for extended periods of time.Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.Requires working under stressful conditions and irregular hours.Exposure to communicable diseases and/or body fluids.Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.Physical Demand requirements are in excess of those for Light Work.Personal Protective Equipment:
Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
