Founded in 1906, McLeod Health is a locally owned and managed, not for profit organization supported by the strength of more than 900 members on its medical staff and more than 2,900 licensed nurses. McLeod Health is also composed of approximately 15,000 team members and more than 90 physician practices throughout its 18-county service area. With seven hospitals, McLeod Health operates three Health and Fitness Centers, a Sports Medicine and Outpatient Rehabilitation Center, Hospice and Home Health Services. The system currently has 988 licensed beds, including Hospice and Behavioral Health. Essential Function

Boarder Nurse:   The Boarder Nurse will primarily focus on the med surg in-patients that are boarding in the ER, and will also cross train to the ER. 

Plans individualized nursing care to meet the holistic age specific needs of  each patient. Using service excellence standards, conducts hourly rounding.   Fosters an environment that demonstrates caring, compassion, and respect for all patients, families, visitors, and staff. Utilizes appropriate health and safety equipment to protect both the patient and the staff. Utilizes standard work in caring for central lines, Foley catheters, pressure ulcers, restraints, and patients at risk for falls.  Contributes to the daily efficient performance of the department including daily huddles. 

Licenses/Certifications/Registrations/Education

An active Registered Nursing License verified by the LLR BLS Certification through AHA

Full-time, 72 hours bi-weekly;   NIGHTS, 7P-7A

 SIGN ON BONUS OFFERED UP TO $20,000
