Registered Nurse, Ambulatory

Principal Accountabilities:
+ Provide comprehensive communication in the electronic medical records by documenting all communications and patient care services.
+ Protect operations by maintaining patient confidentiality.
+ Coordinate medical records requests for second opinion consultations.
+ Follow up on incoming patient calls, including discussing lab and radiology results with hematology patients, in collaboration with treating providers.
+ Provide health clearances.
+ Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops and participating in membership in appropriate professional societies, as well as fulfill mandatory education requirements
+ Facilitate a cooperative relationship among health care teams by communicating information and participating in team problem-solving methods.
+ Additional duties as assigned by physician, site coordinator or practice manager

Required:
1. BSN required.
2. Acute care experience
3. BLS, ACLS required
4. Pediatric experience required
5. Prior Hematology/Oncology experience required
Preferred:
1. Capable of working in a fast- paced environment while maintaining aseptic technique and providing excellent safe patient care.
2. Specialty knowledge, skills, and abilities may be required based on department/specialty group assigned
