Regional Vice President of Operations (Skilled Nursing) *Chicagoland*
** Chicagoland Area ** LNHA ** SUMMARY: The Regional Vice President of Operations - Chicagoland area (Long Term Care) is responsible for ensuring that the assigned region ensures a high level of quality care based on established nursing standards and resident rights while supporting and assisting with the implementation of facility policy and state regulations. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: + Ensures that each Administrator is prepared for successful state inspections. + Ensures that census and competitive analysis reports for the region are completed in an accurate and timely manner. + Provides training, support, and guidance for each Administrator and overall facility needs. + Implements company policies and procedures and ensures that the region comply with state regulations. + Reviews incident reports and follow up notes regularly to ensure state reportable incidents are being reported and proper procedure is being followed and documented. + Attends facility meetings and woks cooperatively with members of management and the care team, maintaining effective interdepartmental and interpersonal relations with residents, staff, and visitors. + Hires, trains, and manages the management team assigned to the regional community to maximize the effectiveness of resident care, operate within a budget, and uphold resident and family satisfaction. + Plans, assigns, and directs work, evaluates performance and rewards and disciplines employees. + Addresses complaints and resolves problems within the region. + Budgetary responsibilities include reviewing financial and budget transactions, assisting with budget development, and budgetary control. + Other duties as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. + Long Term Care - Nursing Home experience highly preferred. + Bachelor’s Degree in business or a related field or equivalent combination of education and experience required. + Minimum 3 years management experience required. + General knowledge of professional basic nursing, restoratives and personal care services. + Ability to read and interpret documents, write reports, and correspondence. + Must have a valid driver’s license. + High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation, and interaction with coworkers.
