Join the MercyOne Family! We are looking to hire a Regional Transportation Representative.

As a Regional Transportation Representative at MercyOne, you will represent MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center regionalization program as the direct interface with regional hospitals and clinics.  Provide value added services directly to clinics and hospitals through transportation of goods and services to insure MercyOne Siouxland Medical Center is positioned as the preeminent health care provider in the market area chosen to serve.

Establishes and adheres to rigid time schedule for daily visits to contracted locations. Transports material to and from each contracted facility in the defined market area.Coordinates with various departments to provide value added services to regional facilities.  Including but not limited to:  Lab, Radiology, Pharmacy, Purchasing, Printed Services, Management Information Services (MIS), Communications and Clinical Information Services CIS).On an annual basis, successfully completes Hazmat and DOT transporting of materials training. Continuously schedules and coordinates activities through action of self and others while maintaining proper sense of urgency.Makes immediate quality decisions involving a variety of difficulties encountered i.e., schedules or route changes, products that need returning (without authorization) and motor vehicle breakdowns while on the road.Takes care of vehicle assigned, which includes, cleaning inside and out, preventative maintenance and scheduling of repair work needed through the lessor. Maintains a daily logbook of the routes consisting of mileage, length of time on the road, arrival time, amount of time spent at each stop, gas consumption and problems that arise while performing duties.  Time is allotted for logbook preparation.

Part TimeDays, M-F 8am- 12 pm

General Requirements:

Requires a minimum of 1-2 years related experience in a health care setting.Must have and maintain a valid driver’s license.  Commercial license preferred.Must have excellent safe driving record.On an annual basis, successfully completes Hazmat and DOT transporting of materials training.Must pass safety drivers course sponsored by Mercy Medical Center.Must possess excellent verbal and written communications skills, presentation skills, advanced analytical skills, be well organized and maintain a highly professional manner and appearance.Strong interpersonal, consultative and relationship building skills to initiate and develop productive collaborative partnership with all levels of leadership across the organization.  Ability to effectively influence results, garner support and tactfully manage complex relationships within and across the organization.  Extremely high level of diplomacy and tact are required.  Ability to read the subtle nuances of situation and react/plan accordingly.

Education:

High school graduate or equivalent required.  Post high school education preferred.
