Regional Teen Coordinator
Regional Teen Coordinator Requisition Number 2024-8003 Overview Under the supervision of the County Teen Director, the Regional Teen Coordinator has delegated responsibility for developing, implementing, supervising, evaluating, and monitoring Club and regional programs for teens ages 13-20. The scope of work includes teen programming implemented both on-site at standalone BGCDE facilities and those implemented at satellite locations, including schools and various community organizations. The Regional Teen Coordinator provides supervision and leadership to designated teen program staff within a region. This position will collaborate with other IPT staff and Club staff to ensure consistent, comprehensive teen programming happens throughout the Club and region, increasing the reach of BGCDE. The Regional Teen Coordinator position has two levels (I and II).  The levels are based on size, revenue, complexity of operations, and other factors.    Responsibilities Essential Functions:Using a regionalized approach, plan, implement and evaluate a diverse offering of daily teen programming available to teens throughout the region; collaborate with County Teen Director to set goals and establish systems to execute on department objectives.Collaborate with other IPT leaders, Club leadership and staff to create a collaborative, regional approach to programming and ensure achievement of program outcomes.Under the direction of the County Teen Director, create and support systems for measuring program quality, implement appropriate planning processes to ensure continual improvement, and develop strategies for program delivery and outcome measurement, while ensuring a well-organized and coordinated regional teen program.Plan, facilitate, and support programs and events throughout the assigned region and statewide as required.      Assist in the financial management and resource development of the IPT department and, specifically, programs related to teens.Contribute to positive brand image of BGCDE and the organization’s drive to be the leading youth-serving organization in communities throughout the state.Assure that administrative duties are completed in a thorough and timely mannerWork in collaboration and support of the IPT Operations Coordinator to establish systems to maintain equipment and other resources related to teen programming.Support systems to maintain facilities in collaboration with Club Directors and other assigned Club staff.Ensure all regional teen program staff understand, receive ongoing training, and adhere to BGCDE safety and security policies and procedures.Within guidelines and expectations of the IPT Vice President of Operations and County Teen Director, grow teen membership and participation, and seek and develop collaborative partners and strategic alliances in the region. Qualifications Qualifications and Education RequirementsMust be able to pass an FBI clearance, State of Delaware Criminal History Background Check, National and State Sexual Abuse Registry check, and National and State Child Abuse Registry Check.Bachelor’s Degree in related field preferred.Minimum three (3) years of experience effectively managing or delivering programs to youth ages 13-20.Must possess a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel throughout the designated region and occasionally, in other parts of the state; must have less than 5 points on DMV and be willing to drive company vehicles (e.g. 10-passenger van).Competencies/Skills/Experience:Demonstrated ability to organize and execute on programming for youth in Middle School and High School.Ability to develop a positive self-image in Boys & Girls Club members.Demonstrated verbal and written competency.Demonstrated ability to supervise staff, recruit and train volunteers and mentor youth.Knowledge of budgeting and resource management.Working Conditions:Frequently lifts, carries or otherwise moves and positions objects weighing up to 25 pounds when preparing rooms for activities.Typically bends, stoops, walks and sometimes runs on a regular basis while interacting with children in various activities throughout the day.Ability to perform duties effectively under stressful conditions; ability to make decisions quickly and accurately with tact and impartialityAbility to understand and follow verbal and written instructions and communicate effectively both verbally and in writing. Work Hours:  Monday –Friday; 1:30pm-9pm Hours vary based on scheduling of teen programs and services to meet their needs and interests.
