Regional Sales Manager (Outside Sales)
Job Description A premier employer in the gasket and sealing industry is seeking a dynamic and results-driven Regional Sales Manager to join the outside sales team. This individual would be responsible for maintaining new and existing accounts, building relationships, and selling and distributing products to large oil & gas customers. The regional sales manager would need to ramp up on the company's products and hold a strong understanding of catalyst products, specialty chemicals, and gasket & sealing technologies. This person would be expected to solve any problems with the customers from pricing and quotations to technical as well as negotiate local, regional, national, or global contracts with customers. They will work with inside sales, engineering, and manufacturing to assure customer satisfaction in all areas, and train outside sales representatives as assigned by the VP of Sales. Additionally, they will perform product and installation training at customer sites, conduct training and product presentations to distributors, customers, and engineering firms. Skills and Requirements 3-5+ years of sales experience in the chemical or catalyst industry, with specific experience in technical sales selling into petrochemical and refinery plants. Must hold a strong understanding of refinery processes, equipment, and the entire process from start to finish Strong full cycle sales experience and negotiation skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work independently as well as mentor junior sales reps In-depth understanding of catalyst products, fine chemicals, and gasket & sealing technologies. Experience with Salesforce or similar, to maintain accurate records of sales activities, customer interactions, and market data Willingness to travel to customer sites and out of state about 2 weeks out of the month, with no weekends.
