As a Regional Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for leading strategic sales targeting large industrial and municipal accounts with multiple influencers in their assigned geographic territory. This highly autonomous role requires strong intuition for business, planning, and the ability to implement strategic sales plans. Your role is essential for a high level of customer satisfaction and ensuring Hach’s solutions are presented to our customers. You will be responsible for the entire Hach product portfolio from instrumentation and reagents to fully integrated solutions and services

This position is field based, with minimal reporting to the office for administration task. The geographic territory covers the Western Cape, it would be preferable if you were located in the Cape Town region.

In this role, a typical day will look like:

Develop sales territory and account plans to achieve assigned targets by fully utilizing SFDC, reporting results and funnel health during a weekly review with manager. Using Hach Tools and systems to drive growth

Prepares and presents monthly forecasts by accurately managing opportunities.

Visit a minimum of 20 clients per a week to drive strategy to action and solve customer problems. Develops a network of customer and industry contacts in the territory to position Hach as a key member of the water management community.

Understand the Hach portfolio and areas of application, including quoting, following up and general sales activities. Must be adaptable/knowledgeable to work across many applications (WWTW, DW, Power, Oil&Gas, F&B)

Travel locally and abroad (up to 80%)

The essential requirements of the job include:

At least 5 years of experience preferably in the analytical instrumentation industry as a sales associate.

Preferred degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, Engineering or similar

Excellent English written and verbal communication skills.

Teamwork and ability to work across Cultures, Countries, Locations, and business teams.

Must have own vehicle with Code B license
