Centers Health Care is seeking a skilled and passionate Regional Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team, providing comprehensive dietary care and nutrition services across four unique facilities. This role offers the opportunity to elevate the resident dining experience while leveraging strong food service knowledge, particularly in long-term care and nursing home settings. The ideal candidate will bring a proven track record in delivering high-quality nutritional assessments, counseling, and meal planning, specifically emphasizing improving dining services for diverse patient populations.
Key Responsibilities:
Dietary Assessments & Care Plans: Conduct nutritional assessments for residents and patients across multiple facilities, develop and implement personalized care plans based on individual needs, and ensure ongoing monitoring and adjustments as required.Collaboration with Facility Teams: Work closely with clinical teams, including physicians, nurses, and chefs, to ensure that nutritional services meet the specific needs of each facility’s population.Dining Experience Expertise: Provide guidance and recommendations to enhance the overall dining experience, including menu development, food presentation, and resident satisfaction.Training & Education: Offer training sessions to staff on nutrition, food safety, and dietary needs; educate patients, families, and caregivers about healthy eating habits, special diets, and food preferences.Regulatory Compliance: Ensure that all dietary practices and services comply with federal, state, and local regulations, including documentation and reporting requirements.Continuous Improvement: Monitor food quality, portion control, and consistency in dining services, addressing any concerns or improvements to enhance the overall patient experience.Travel Between Facilities: Regular travel between assigned Centers Health Care locations to provide nutrition services and oversee the successful implementation of dietary plans across all four facilities.Qualifications:
Registered Dietitian (RD) credential, with current NY state licensure.A minimum of 2-3 years of experience as a Registered Dietitian, preferably in a long-term care, hospital, or healthcare dining services setting.Strong background in dining management or food service operations with a proven ability to improve dining experiences for patients/residents.In-depth knowledge of nutrition therapy, food management, and dietary guidelines.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate with diverse teams and educate patients, families, and staff.Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage responsibilities across multiple locations.Ability to work independently and demonstrate leadership in improving patient care and dining services.Experience with Electronic Health Records (EHR) and nutrition software systems.
