Summary/Objective: The Quality Process and Compliance Manager is responsible for the development, implementation, and monitoring of quality and compliance standards within both internal and external processes, ensuring adherence to legal requirements, industry standards, and customer expectations. This role also contributes to the development of new products and the maintenance of necessary certifications for the company’s activities. Essential Functions: Master national and international standards (ISO, AS, TS) and industry-specific requirements. Have in-depth knowledge of APQP processes and associated tools to ensure deliverables are compliant and robust. Lead strategic projects (APQP, continuous improvement) using quantitative methods. Train and guide teams on quality tools and processes, certified by a recognized organization. Lead organizational changes and ensure adherence to quality processes. Analyze quality processes and propose sustainable solutions. Identify and manage relevant KPIs based on normative and operational expectations. Ensure compliance with standards and certifications in internal processes and suppliers. Reduce customer complaints and continuously improve quality. Obtain necessary certifications within set timelines. Analyze clients' technical, legal, and normative documentation. Actively participate in the development of FMEAs, control plans, IT, and qualification testing as part of APQP. Prepare and submit PPAPs to clients. Develop final control plans and ensure their integration into production. Monitor FAI during launches or changes in production. Write and maintain a Supplier Quality Manual. Analyze and approve suppliers’ PPAPs. Conduct supplier quality audits and propose improvement plans. Support the procurement team in identifying new suppliers. Other Key Responsibilities Monitor customer complaints and requests for significant corrective actions. Ensure effective communication with customers on quality-related matters. Maintain ISO 9001 certification within the group’s factories and act as the key player in maintaining certifications. Implement a program to achieve ISO 14001 certification (goal: 18 months). Develop a plan to achieve ISO 16949 certification (goal: 3 years). Monitor applicable standards relevant to operations. Working Conditions: Primarily working indoors, hybrid between plant manufacturing and office environment. May sit for several hours at a time. Prolonged exposure to computer screens. Qualifications: DEC in Quality Assurance ore relevant technical experience 3 to 5 years in a quality and manufacturing environment, preferably in the automotive sector. Experience in managing certifications and conducting quality audits. Must have a valid passport to travel to and from Canada / United States. Competencies: Mastery of Standards and Norms: Knowledge of ISO, AS, TS standards and industry-specific requirements. Project Management Skills: Mastery of APQP processes, continuous improvement, and managing strategic projects. Leadership and Training: Ability to train and lead teams, manage organizational changes. Analysis and Results: Analytical skills to optimize quality processes, identify KPIs, and track performance. Normative Monitoring: Stay updated on applicable standards relevant to operations. Supervisory Responsibility: This role does not have supervisory responsibilities upon hiring. Physical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by a Team Member to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. While performing the duties of this job, the Team Member is regularly required to talk and hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing all day. The Team Member may have to lift and/or move items over 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time salary position, and hours/days of work are decided by production schedules and your reporting manager. Travel: Travel will be required for this position – travel throughout the US and Canada. Preferred Education and Experience: Manufacturing/industry experience.
