Our client is searching for an experienced Regional Manager to be based in Johannesburg The successful candidate would be responsible for 2 Area Managers The role will ultimately responsible for 40 stores managing 4 Area Managers
Overview
Ultimately be responsible and accountable for 30 to 40 stores with 3 to 4 Area Managers
Responsible for all aspects of the stores sales merchandise security staffing
Opening of new stores at 10 per year over a 5 year period
Region could include Gauteng Kwa Zulu Natal Free State and Western Cape
Key Performance Areas
Strategy & Planning
Joins the planning process to deliver premium consumer experience in each store
Provide input into the revenue planning process for the stores in portfolio
Store Management
Develops and maintains a healthy stores portfolio inline with companies brand & distribution strategies
Works closely with Partner and Store Manager/staff to achieve sales customer satisfaction and profitability goals
Makes sure local and regional shared resources works towards set goals per store
Maintains records and measures of individual store and territory sales performance
Analyses district reports and identify ways to leverage opportunities to maximize results
Develops and executes recovery plans for underperforming stores and partners
Provides accurate information of region and area
Visits stores on a frequent base
Portfolio Management
Primary contact for the Store Partner
Contribute to Partner business reviews
Raises issues and opportunities related
Portfolio expansion
Identify new store opportunities and new partners
Provide operational support for new stores focus on training
Other
Communicating with manager regarding store level results/opportunities/challenges potential partner opportunities and relevant market information
Requirements 
Matriculated preferably with a Post Matric Qualification
At least 5 years experience as an Area Manager in the Apparel/ Clothing/ Footwear industry managing 10 or more stores
Experience as a Regional Manager managing 3 or more Area Managers with 30 or more stores would be preferable
Experienced at opening new stores
Excellent administration skills
Proven track record with stock losses
Able to perform stock takes
Product orientated in depth product knowledge
Passion for retail
Able to handle CCMA cases and disciplinary hearings
Good recruitment skills
Experience at training staff
Sales orientated
Merchandise presentation skills
Can analyse sales reports identify good and bad sellers
Can communicate at all levels
Experienced at driving Buyers/ Merchandisers for stock he/ she needs
Knows how to drive and support marketing promotions
