Regional Manager Sanitation

Overview The Regional Sanitation Manager will provide sanitation and pest control support and guidance to multiple food manufacturing facilities across the United States. This role will work cross functionally with the plants, engineering, project managers, QA, and all other associated departments. This role will be instrumental in ensuring the facilities that he/she oversees are successful in meeting key performance indicators (KPI’s), departmental and corporate targets, and enterprise goals. Responsibilities Facilitates cross-functional collaboration with Operations, QA, Food Safety, Sanitation vendors to implement sanitation programs and achieve targeted KPI’s. Support and contribute to continuous improvement efforts. Provide direction to facility personnel in the creation and implementation of systems, knowledge, capabilities, and practices to comply with all required food regulations and company policies and procedures. Educate and provide technical support where needed. Monitor and escalate issues related to sanitation, pest control, and food safety. Monitor sanitation and pest control vendor reports to ensure all action items and recommendations are being addressed in a timely manner. Develop strategies, policies and procedures to mitigate risks. Support CAPA (Corrective action Preventative action) needs at all designated facilities. Conducts periodic sanitation and pest control audits against policy. Provide technical support on the effectiveness of plant sanitation and cleaning programs (SSOP’s) Understands and can ensure facilities verify and validate any and all automated cleaning systems on an annual basis. Provides technical support to plants regarding recording keeping. May perform other duties as assigned or needed Qualifications High School Diploma Required Minimum of 5 years of Sanitation management experience with an advanced degree Minimum of 10 years of Sanitation experience without an advanced degree CIP knowledge Experience with diverse sanitation applications. Knowledge and skill in EMP Experience providing supervision, guidance, effective training and counsel to others. Sanitary Design training Proficiency in Microsoft Office Able to understand and analyze issues involving food manufacturing projects. Ability to write and communicate policies and procedures. Effective communication skills Ability to understand food and environmental regulations. Strong organizational and collaborative skills. Ability to source and vet resources to aid facilities in progressive sanitation improvements Competencies Technical Sanitation Experience Drives Engagement Plans and Aligns Manages Complexity Courage Working Conditions/Environment Combination of working environments. The position requires working in a manufacturing environment during sanitation activities as well as working in a remote office environment.
