Regional Maintenance Supervisor

Purpose: Maintenance leaders ensure the safety of their assigned schools through regular maintenance and repair to the facilities, equipment and vehicles as requested by corporate and school management and provide leadership to maintenance staff reporting to them. This role will support multiple states- Ohio, Indiana, and Illinoise\n

Essential Duties\n

Including:\n\nPerform repair and maintenance on assigned schools ensuring their adherence to government and licensing codes.\nSupervise and lead the maintenance team.\nCooperate with school and corporate management to ensure all work is accomplished in a timely manner.\nPromote Teamwork in relation with peers, subordinates and management teams.\nAudit & Report any observed needed repairs or maintenance to supervisor.\nAttend or Lead any meetings as requested.\nAssist in the setup of all new facilities and closing of old facilities.\nDeliver and store supplies from the warehouse.\nPurchase maintenance supplies in accordance with set policies and procedures at Children of America. \nBe available at all times in cases of emergency and may include weekends and evenings. \nUtilize computerized maintenance logs and email to document completion of jobs and daily activity.\nEnsure that all activities operate consistently and ethically within the mission and values of Children of America.\nMaintain confidentiality and ensure leadership objectives & goals are met regularly by being in line with company directives and communicating plans of execution for special projects (short & long-term).\nPassionate about Children of America's mission and able to promote and communicate the philosophy, mission and values of Children of America to coworkers, customers and the community.\n\n

Other Duties\n

Maintenance personnel perform other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Facilities Management and other corporate management.\n

Supervision\n

Works under the direct supervision of the Vice President of Facilities Management \n

This position may be asked to supervise other maintenance staff at Children of America \n

Work Experience\n

Minimum 5 years experience in same or related fields such as drywall, painting, plumbing, HVAC and electric and a minimal of 3 years in a management, foreman or supervision role.\n

Education\n

High school diploma (GED) Required\n

Associates Degree in related field Preferred.\n
\n

Other\n

Ability to use Outlook and document management & company expenses software\n

Job requires travel to each school as assigned\n
\n

Able to stoop, kneel, bend at the waist and reach on a daily basis\n

Able to lift and move up to 75 pounds occasionally\n

Able to climb a ladder and work on roof tops\n
