The Regional Maintenance Manager supports and works in conjunction with the Market Area Managers, Division Managers and Maintenance Managers in the evaluation, selection, repair and maintenance of fleet equipment, including yellow iron, and installed equipment used for daily operations; provides leadership, training and ensures the maintenance staff across the region has the tools and resources necessary to support the safe and efficient operation of equipment for our locations.

 

Hiring Range: $130,000.00-$160,000.00 per year

Key Responsibilities Coordinates with the Region VP and Area VP's to create, improve, execute policies.   Provides training and development opportunities to motivate and create opportunities for all employees. Coordinates and ensures completion of maintenance activities with Maintenance Managers within the Western Region, in an effort to maximize operational efficiency of equipment and minimize unscheduled downtime. Ensures safety compliance and completion of maintenance to the standards set by federal, state and company guidelines; maintains and continuously improves a Preventative Maintenance Program across the footprint; inspects equipment maintenance needs through auditing.  Develops objectives and standards of performance for projects within the Maintenance Department required to meet departmental, divisional and corporate goals and objectives.  Ensures the completion of all Maintenance related documentation meets or exceeds state, federal and company policy expectations. Builds and leads training efforts across the region and ensures the utilization of a high level of professionalism and organization.  Administers established policies and procedures, serves as the main point of contact with strategic procurement to create cost savings through our purchasing power; guides Maintenance Managers, Division Managers and Market Area Managers with maintenance budget preparation. Establishes and maintains the highest level of communication throughout the region and utilizes these skills to guide all aspects of major maintenance and development and implementation of projects across the region such as computer-based maintenance systems. Manages and provides leadership to team members by effectively communicating, establishing clear goals and objectives, coaching team members on achieving goals, and ensuring access to training and development opportunities that assist employees in attaining the necessary skills to achieve team and corporate results. Participates in training and other learning opportunities to expand knowledge of the company, products, sales and services and performs any other duties needed to help drive our vision, fulfill our mission, and/or abide by our core values. Ensures compliance with all company, state, and federal policies, regulations, and laws regarding employment and employee safety.  Education, Experience & Qualifications

The successful candidate will have a bachelor's degree or equivalent experience, a minimum of 10 years leadership experience, 10-15 years experience in an operations environment, the ability to travel on a regular basis, a valid driver's license, and be legally eligible to work in the US. 

 

A solid understanding of mechanical, hydraulic and electrical systems, effective negotiating skills, and strong analytical reasoning and decision-making skills are required. It is expected that the individual is skilled in leading and developing, is proficient in Microsoft Office Applications and has the ability to communicate across all levels of the organization.
