As a Regional Health Equity and Belonging Partner you will work to address health disparities and promote inclusive healthcare practices within a specific geographic region. This role involves collaborating with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to identify and address systemic barriers to health equity. The goal is to create a more inclusive and equitable healthcare system that fosters a sense of belonging and improves health outcomes for marginalized and underrepresented populations.

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Partnerships

Build and maintain relationships: Collaborate with community organizations, healthcare providers, and other stakeholders to advance health equity and belonging.Foster partnerships: Develop and strengthen partnerships with regional organizations to support health equity initiatives.

Health Equity and Belonging Initiatives

Analyze and address disparities: Identify and address systemic barriers to health equity, including racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic disparities.Develop and implement initiatives: Design and implement initiatives that promote health equity, inclusion, and belonging.Evaluate program effectiveness: Assess the impact of health equity initiatives and make recommendations for improvement.

Community Engagement and Education

Community outreach and engagement: Engage with community members, organizations, and leaders to understand regional health equity needs and priorities.Education and training: Provide education and training on health equity, implicit bias, and cultural competency to healthcare providers and community organizations.

Policy and Advocacy

Policy analysis and development: Analyze and develop policies that promote health equity and address systemic barriers.Advocacy and community mobilization: Advocate for policy changes and mobilize community support for health equity initiatives.

Data Analysis and Reporting

Data collection and analysis: Collect and analyze data to identify health disparities and track progress towards health equity goals.Reporting and dissemination: Share findings and recommendations with stakeholders, including community organizations, healthcare providers, and policymakers.


 

Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
 

Bachelor's degree in Public Health, Social Work, Community Health, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).At least 3 years of experience in health equity and belonging programing, community outreach, public health, or a related field.

Additional Qualifications:

•             A valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle.

•             Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

•             Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

•             Flexibility and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

•             Compassion, empathy, and a genuine desire to help others.
