The Regional Head of House Counsel is a strategically important role in the North America Claims organization and reports directly to the Chief Technical Officer, North America Claims. The candidate will co-manage and direct House Counsel operations for 18 offices, and approximately 200 employees, across nine states and Canada. This responsibility includes the development and execution of a strategic plan to maximize the value of the House Counsel team to the Company.

Specific day-to-day responsibilities of the Regional Head of House Counsel will include:
Required Experience
Minimum of 15 years legal experience at a law firm or house counsel operation at a property and casualty insurance company or 15 years claims litigation and management experience in casualty or financial lines claims.Experience managing a large and geographically dispersed multi-layered organization.Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment.Working knowledge and experience with data and financial reporting and analysis.Interpersonal Competencies and Success Factors
Excellent leadership and analytical skills.Ability to drive change and develop a strategic focus.Ability to proactively engage with a wide range of internal colleagues and external resources.Comfortable managing multiple priorities and finding creative solutions to complex challenges.The pay range for the role is $245,000 to $275,000. The specific offer will depend on an applicant’s skills and other factors. This role may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program.
