Regional Energy Business Leader

Our energy clients include major power and network utilities, renewable generation development companies, international financial institutions and a broad range of corporations including those operating transport, industrial, technology and other energy or carbon intense facilities seeking low-carbon energy solutions. **The Opportunity** We are seeking a highly motivated, inspirational and determined leader for our Americas Region Energy Business. The candidate is expected to lead Arup energy service offering strategy and tactical delivery in the Americas, initially in Canada and the USA as we significantly expand our energy market presence. The role will mainly be office based, ideally in Toronto, Calgary, New York, Houston or San Francisco, but may also be based in Boston, Los Angeles, Austin or Seattle for an exceptional candidate. Growth of a cohesive, strong, effective, and well mentored energy team requires this leadership role to be office based for three days or more per week as well as being client and industry facing. This role will be: + Working closely with Americas and global colleagues this role will identify, prioritize and pursue addressable market opportunities from the following segments electron solutions, molecular solutions, renewable energy, energy storage, integrated energy systems, nuclear solutions. + Engaging, inspiring, mentoring and encouraging our Americas energy business colleagues, while reinforcing high expectations, supporting their development and enabling them to achieve their best. + Crafting the regional strategic energy business planning, including articulation of addressable market, market differentiation and optimal target services, clients, sectors together with growth and investment plans leading to clearly articulated commercial outcomes. + Cultivating client relationships, including maximizing existing relationships, identifying and engaging new high value clients, including international organizations. + Winning new and securing repeat work, particularly through relationship and pre-bidding engagement, but also driving high quality bid production which fully demonstrates our value to clients. + Delivering of energy projects that are consistent with the strategic objectives, particularly leading strategically important projects which are critical to expansion of our activities in Americas. + Identifying and recruiting key staff and managers aligned with Arup’s major and strategic growth plan for the energy business in conjunction with senior Americas and global colleagues. + Engaging with international colleagues to arrange international secondments of energy team staff in support of Americas energy business growth and the career progression of individuals At Arup, you belong to an extraordinary collective – in which we encourage individuality to thrive. Options for alternative schedules and the ability to work outside of the office for a portion of your workweek are available Hiring Range - The good faith base salary hiring range for this job if performed in New York City is 260,000 to 320,000 per year. **This range is commensurate with experience, educational background, and skill level.** Benefits are not included in the base salary.
