Regional Employee Communications & Engagement Head

Role Purpose

The Employee Communications & Engagement Head for Latin America is responsible for developing and implementing strategies to improve employee engagement and internal communication across the region. The executive will work closely with the wider regional MarComms colleagues, to help drive awareness of companywide strategies to engage employees and build long-term loyalty. This manager will also work closely with marketing colleagues in the countries to assess and ensure local requirements are being considered, acting as the regional liaison to ensure global and regional plans are communicated and implemented in country as appropriate. This leader will support building and protecting the Chubb brand internally, ensuring consistency and compliance with company’s guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and execute employee engagement programs and initiatives that promote a positive work environment and foster employee satisfaction. Partner with cross-functional teams, such as HR and leadership, to develop and implement engagement initiatives that align with organizational goals and objectives. Develop and deliver internal communication strategies, including internal events and programs, that promote employee engagement, collaboration, and organizational culture while keeping employees informed about company updates, goals, and initiatives. Craft and manage content (speeches, strategic content narratives, and presentation materials) as well as the internal communication channels, including regional Town Halls and other meetings, email, intranet, and internal social media platforms. Manage the Latin America section of the company’s intranet. Ensure communication plans & campaigns can have a multi-channel 360-degree approach. Provide guidance and coaching and support execution to leaders and managers on effective communication strategies and employee engagement practices. Develop and manage budgets for the area, as well as reporting on KPIs and metrics to measure the effectiveness of internal engagement and communication programs while optimizing ROI. Develop and manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors, including communications agencies. As a Business Partner for HR, support internal comms and employee engagement needs and acts as liaison with other members of the Marketing and Communications team for the areas’ needs in terms of external communications, social media, and events. Act as the internal communications expert, ensuring compliance with local laws, regulations, and industry standards.  Stay up to date on industry trends and best practices in employee engagement and internal communication and identifying opportunities for innovation and improvement.

Experience 

At least 7 years in internal communications in a corporate setting.  Experience using content management systems (i.e., Jive, SharePoint) and email distribution tools (i.e., Exact Target). Experience in bringing ideas and innovation to the team and turn them into measurable and effective action. Excellent level of project and stakeholder management, with proven ability to manage multiple disciplines and tasks, while juggling priorities and projects under pressure. High business acumen and the ability to understand problems to be solved which can translate into internal programs.  Experience of successfully working in an international matrix team environment. Excellent collaboration skills with colleagues at all levels in the organization.

Qualifications & Knowledge

Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Corporate Communications, Public Relations, Marketing, or related fields. Strong communication skill (internal and external), as well as advanced written communication skills. High standard of excellence, including an eye for detail and a desire for perfection; demonstration of editorial excellence; passion for writing; and willingness to learn from other creative professionals. Proficient in MS applications (Word, Excel, and Power Point). Native Spanish and fluent English speaking. Portuguese is a plus.
