Regional EHS Manager

Xylem seeks to hire a Regional Environment, Health, & Safety Manager. This position will assist with the development, implementation and monitoring of environmental, safety and health policies and procedures and best practices, particularly related to hazardous chemical, product manufacturing, transportation of Hazmat, and services for rental of industrial tanks and pumps and related equipment at branch offices located across the United States. Responsibilities: Planning and Implementation + Develop and maintain safety and environmental policies and procedures + Create and oversee safety, environmental and sustainability goals and objectives + Monitor and evaluate safety, environmental and sustainability programs and initiatives + Identify and address potential safety, environmental and sustainability risks and hazards + Coordinate with other departments to ensure compliance with safety, and environmental regulations Data Collection and Reporting + Collect and analyze data related to injuries, environmental impact and compliance + Prepare and submit reports to regulatory agencies + Maintain accurate records and documentation + Communicate safety and environmental performance to upper management Budgeting and Resource Management + Identify cost saving opportunities and implement strategies to chemical and tank management + Source and purchase necessary ergo and safe tools, PPE equipment and materials + Stakeholder Communication + Communicate with government agencies, community groups, and other stakeholders + Address any concerns or complaints related to environmental impact, i.e. spills and releases + Participate in customer and or public meetings and hearings regarding environmental issues + Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sustainable solutions High Impact Behaviors: + Leadership by Example: Individual contributors should model the behavior they expect from their support team. Qualifications: + A bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Safety Management, or a related field with at least 5 years experience + Advanced EHS certifications, such as a Certified Safety Professional (CSP), preferred + Must have OSHA 30 hrs. certification + Expert level data analysis and risk assessment capabilities. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills to identify issues and develop effective solutions. + Excellent verbal and written communication skills to report findings and make recommendations. + Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and contribute to group projects. + Certified Hazardous Material Manager (CHMM) certification highly preferred + 3 years experience in Chemical and Environmental Management + Must wear PPE to include: safety glasses, safety boots above the ankle, reflective vest and hard hat **_IMPORTANT NOTE: When not traveling you will be required to be onsite at home location._** Xylem does not provide visa sponsorship for this position. The estimated salary range for this position is $100,000-115,000 plus bonus. Starting pay is dependent on multiple factors, such as skills, experience and work location, and is not typically at the top of the range.
