To strengthen our team in the area of  Regional Supply Chain leadership team, we are looking for a Regional EHS Director WE & AM (m/f/d) in permanent employment. 

 

 

Your job mission: 
This position is established to lead EHS at Regional level, accountable for setting and driving execution of the Environmental and H&S strategies within the regional manufacturing sites and warehouses, delivering on MGSM commitments (RIR <0.2) and ensuring compliance with local regulations and corporate standards. 
This role is pivotal in building EHS capabilities within the region and fostering a culture of continuous improvement through IWS.

Your tasks: 

Establish regional GSC EHS startegy implementation roadmap in collaboration with Regional Supply Chain leadership team and factory EHS Leads to drive year over year performance improvement. 
Implement regional and site specific strategic KPI's and processes to determine performance and capabilities.
Partner with GSC Health & Safety and  GSC Environmental Sustainability functions to contribute to GSC EHS global strategy. Drive the Regional EHS PDCA (Plan-Do-Check-Act) drumbeat with site EHS Leads to drive effective execution of global EHS Pillar tools and work processes, track regional performance, identify improvement opportunities and correct possible deviations. 
Ensure all site EHS leads with the region, their teams and DMSO’s (Daily Management System Owners) are qualified.
Establish and maintain a strong safety culture within the region, engaging leaders to role model Safety and constantly send a clear message that safety is not negotiable. Ensure safety is visible at all times, promoting open communication about safety concerns, and recognizing and rewarding safe behaviors. Execute a proactive accident prevention program that includes risk management (identification, assessment and control), inspections, audits, and emergency planning. 
Lead incident investigation program at regional level to eliminate incidents. Review incident reports, driving to root cause and evaluating the need for potential changes to current global policies and procedures. 
Ensure learnings from all incidents are reapplied in relevant factories in a timely manner. Deploy global safety training matrix to all sites and people within the region and ensure proper qualification. 
Challenge, coach and support Factory and EHS site Leads across the region and establish regular visit to sites (at least once per year) for better capability tracking, support and calibration. Lead the GSC EHS compliance program within the region to ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory EHS requirements within the region and ensure appropriate actions to correct deficiencies are implemented. 
Conduct regular EHS compliance assessments (peer reviews) within sites, and EHS Pillar assessments (every 12 months at minimum). Drive Regional ISO systems and certification (ISO 14001 – Environmental Management, ISO 45001 – Occupational Health and Safety Management, ISO 50001 – Energy management) by an independent organization to drive continuous improvement mindset. Ensure effective feedback collection from the region to drive improvement of the Global EHS standard work processes, tools, and training materials. Ensure best in class examples from the region are shared with Global EHS Pillar, and all changes to global Standards are deployed to sites in the region People Management: Motivate and develop the professional skills of direct and indirect team members.

 

Your profile: 

More than 10 years experience working in EHS and Manufacturing role and IWS EHS Pillar expertise University degree or higher with preferably with a strong focus on EHS or Safety Management Strong background in EHS management systems and risk management  Knowledge of EHS regulations, standards, training management and ISO systems Excellent leadership, communication, and relationship management Excellent analytical and problem solving skills (root cause analyses) Practiced working time model: Possibility of 50% mobile office work within Germany on a monthly basis
